Gudetama Nail Art by Popcoat

Buat kalian yang follow instagram atau snapchat aku, pasti tau dong kalau aku pernah punya kuku cantik nan lucu seperti gambar di atas? Yup, gambar di atas tidak lain dan tidak bukan adalah kukuku sendiri yang dilukis dengan gel polish oleh Popcoat.

Aku mencoba gel nail art di Popcoat sebetulnya sudah beberapa bulan yang lalu karena mendapatkan hadiah giveaway dari Catherine Sumitri dan Zalonku yang bekerjasama dalam mengadakan sebuah photo contest. Jujur, pada saat itu aku tidak pernah mendengar tentang gel nail art sebelumnya karena aku tipe orang yang tidak suka memakai kutek, jadi aku sama sekali tidak tahu-menahu tentang jenis nail polish yang sedang ngetrend saat ini.

Viona Paramita, pemilik dari Popcoat adalah lulusan Desain Grafis dari Universitas Kristen Petra di Surabaya. Bermula dari kegemarannya untuk mengecat kuku ditambah dengan skill nya dalam menggambar, akhirnya ia pun membuka studio nail art sejak ia pindah ke Jakarta untuk bekerja. Studionya sendiri berada di apartemennya di Puri Park View.

Untuk design dari nail art nya, aku minta dibuatkan bentuk Gudetama setelah melihat salah satu contoh di instagram Popcoat. Namun, karena ukuran kukuku yang cukup kecil, sehingga design yang ada tidak bisa dibuat sama persis.

Jenis gel polish yang digunakan dalam menggambar Gudetama tersebut adalah Vetro Gel Japan. Menurut Viona, gel polish tersebut memiliki warna yang paling bagus dibandingkan dengan gel polish lainnya, bahkan O.P.I sekalipun.

Keseluruhan proses hingga menghasilkan gel nail art berbentuk Gudetama tersebut menghabiskan waktu hingga 3 jam. Viona benar-benar detail dan teliti dalam menghias setiap kuku. Tidak heran kalau harga untuk gel nail art ini cukup mahal, yaitu mulai dari Rp 400.000,- tergantung dari jenis design dan tingkat kesulitannya. Namun, aku benar-benar sangat puas dengan hasilnya. Gel polish tersebut juga bertahan hingga satu setengah bulan. Akan tetapi, setelah satu setengah bulan gel polish tersebut menempel pada kukuku, kuku menjadi agak rusak, tipis dan rapuh. Setelah aku mencari tahu, ternyata menghapus sisa gel polish memiliki cara khusus tersendiri, tidak bisa dengan nail remover saja. Waktu itu, Viona sempat menawarkan untuk kembali ke apartemennya lagi apabila ingin menghapus sisa gel polish yang ada. Berhubung lokasinya cukup jauh dari rumahku, akhirnya aku hanya menghapusnya dengan nail remover dan nail buffer saja.
